Crystal Dynamics challenged us to reimagine the game's logo and deluxe edition packaging, honoring the classic trilogy while introducing a fresh look. I led the creative process, preserving the essence of the original games while elevating the design with modern clarity.
Before
The original logo and packaging were beloved but dated. Longtime fans expected authenticity, while new players needed a design that felt current.
Design Solution
I analyzed key elements of the original logo, refined shapes, and introduced modern touches for clarity and impact. For the packaging, I combined the trilogy’s essence with rich textures, polished finishes, and cohesive visual details to create a premium, display-worthy experience.
Impact
The new logo and deluxe edition packaging preserved the spirit of the original trilogy while appealing to today’s players. Released on October 18, 2024, the deluxe edition sold out in pre-orders and received widespread acclaim from fans.
